Cardiac Rehabilitation

A comprehensive, specific cardiac rehabilitation program devised by our full time Physiotherapist invites clients to participate in a lifestyle education program incorporating exercise tolerance and healthy menu choices.

The location of a Doctors Surgery on site coupled with the availability of emergency equipment such as, a defibrillator and E.C.G. machine ensures the medical and rehabilitative needs of clients are met.   Our physiotherapist will liaise with clients and significant others to progress exercise programs initiated in the acute setting.

The use of the Borg (1998)¹ rating of perceived exertion will be introduced to clients and utilised as the tool of choice when evaluating clients and educating on topics such as pacing activities and the reintroduction of tasks.

Post operative clients will receive continuing education on anti deep vein thrombosis exercise and chest care whilst progressing their mobility program to include functional outcomes.
