Food

The Environmental Health Officer has advised that food prepared off site and transported to the Centre poses a risk to residents therefore we ask that you do not deliver food.

Thank you

Thank you for your continued patience regarding the visiting restrictions to ensure resident safety. Please see below update from the Government regarding easing of restrictions:

Phase 1: 18th Mary 2020

  • all visits to residential healthcare centres are stopped with specific exemptions on compassionate grounds

Stay at home in all circumstances, except in the following situations:

  • to travel to and from work, if your work cannot be carried out from home
  • to shop for essential food and household goods
  • to attend medical appointments and collect medicines
  • for vital family reasons, such as providing care to children, elderly or vulnerable people - but excluding social family visits
  • for farming purposes - that is food production or care of animals
  • to engage in physical exercise within 5 kilometres of home, adhering to 2 metre social distancing
  • to meet with friends or family within 5 kilometres in groups of no more than 4, adhering to 2 metre social distancing.

Phase 2 - 8th June 2020:

  • no anticipated change

Phase 3 – 29th June 2020:

  • Phased visiting will begin in residential centres Consideration will be given to the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other protections.

Planned visits

  • If a visit has been agreed on compassionate grounds, this must be booked with reception staff between 9-5pm weekdays, 10-4pm at weekends. This needs to be for an agreed time so that we clean touchpoints and facilitate others. This is to protect you and to protect the next visitor. We are awaiting guidance from NPHET on visiting in nursing homes and will update this website once they are issued. We are currently working on providing a visitors room which will safeguard residents and visitors.
